Q. What should I be aware of when registering manga or CG/Illustration collections?
A.
- Even if the images have been edited into manga format, if they are AI-generated, they are considered AI-Generated works, not "Partial AI Use".
- If the images are not split into panels and the work doesn't have the structure of a manga, we may change the format from "Manga" to "CG Collection".
- If you make a PDF file, each image within the PDF is counted separately. If there are 500 JPG files and a PDF version including those images, the limit will be exceeded. For details, see [ here ] .
- We do not create PDF versions of AI works on behalf of circles. If you select the "PDF File" tag but do not include a PDF in the work data, we will remove the tag.
Q. What should I be aware of when registering games?
A.
- For games, there is an upper limit of the equivalent of 500 event images (including variations). However, other AI-generated images that include sexual content will also count toward this limit.
※Images that don't conflict with the above rules, such as pose art and variations do not, as a general rule, count toward the limit. For details, see [ here ] - We do not currently accept registrations of standalone APK files.
Q. What should I be aware of when registering videos?
A.
- Where a large number of AI images have been used in a single file, such as a slideshow video, we may request to check the individual image files.
- The maximum number of AI images that can be used in a slideshow is 500.
- If a video work comes with image files included, the total number of images combined must not exceed 500.
Q. What should I be aware of when registering audio works?
A.
- If AI-generated art is used for product page images, the work falls under "Partial AI Use".
- If the number of AI-generated images included with the work exceeds 10, we may decide to treat it as "AI-Generated".
- We do not currently require works that make use of AI audio composing software to have an AI tag.
Q. What should I be aware of when registering novels?
A.
- Novel works using AI-generated images for cover art or page illustrations can be classified as "Partial AI Use", but if AI-generated illustrations make up 30% or more of the work, they will be considered "AI-Generated".
- If the text of the work is mainly AI-generated, it will be classified as an "AI-Generated" work.
Q. What should I be aware of when registering asset packs?
A.
- Asset packs that use AI-generated art are all sold in the AI-Generated section.
- If there are size variations, the maximum number of images including variations is 500.
- Audio asset packs are handled the same as audio works.
Q. What is the difference between AI-Generated and Partial AI Use?
A. Please see [ here ] for details on the differences.
Q. How is the 500 image limit calculated?
A. As a general rule, each individually generated AI image is counted as one image.
- If a work is registered as AI-generated, all images included are counted as AI-generated, even if the work includes images that are not AI-generated. This rule does not apply to games.
If the main content of the work is AI-generated, it must be registered as "AI-Generated". - If multiple images are arranged together in a single image, each component image will be counted separately.
- If a single image is included in multiple file formats, each individual file will count towards the limit.
(Example)
The same image included as both a JPG and PNG file: counted as 2 images - If you make a PDF file, each image within the PDF is counted separately. If there are 500 JPG files and a PDF version including those images, the limit will be exceeded.
- Where a large number of AI images have been used in a single file, such as a slideshow video, we may request to check the individual image files.
- Any product page images and samples included with the work are also counted toward the limit.
- For games, there is an upper limit of the equivalent of 500 event images (including variations). However, other AI-generated images that include sexual content will also count toward this limit.
Q. Do you sell works that imitate the style of particular artists?
A. We may refuse to handle AI-generated works that appear to imitate the style of particular artists.
Q. If I train an AI on illustrations I made myself and use its output in my work, does that count as partial AI use?
A. Regardless of how it was trained, works primarily made up of images generated using AI are treated as "AI-Generated".
Q. I outsourced my work so I'm unsure if AI was used. What should I do?
A. Even if the work is outsourced, you are required to check with the creator and confirm whether AI has been used, and select an AI tag as appropriate.
If a work is determined to have used AI, we may request proof of its origin.
If we do not receive evidence that makes clear the status of the work with regard to AI use, we may choose to add an AI tag or change the tag selected.
Q. If there is something wrong with the work's content, will it delay release?
A. If something is considered unsatisfactory with the content of a work, it will need to go through the approval process again after fixes have been made, which may mean that it will be released later than usual.
Please check the following Help pages about the registration process.
Q. Is it possible to release an AI-generated work that was registered before but wasn't approved for release?
A. Yes, it is.
Otome/BL works and Smartphone Games are in the process of being relocated, so we are temporarily suspending new submissions.
We may choose to reassess the registration of AI works whenever necessary.
We hope for your understanding.
