Following an announcement to circles on February 23, 2023,
DLsite has implemented various standards and measures to better regulate the sale of AI-generated works,
such as on-site display filters and Ranking display adjustments.
However, DLsite has determined that due to the difficulty of updating policies and guidelines
to reflect the rapid advances in AI image generation technology,
and the effect of continued AI-generated work sales on current creators,
the sales of "AI-Generated" works will be suspended.
The suspension of sales of AI-generated works will be enacted as follows.
- - Sales of works tagged as "AI-Generated" will be suspended, while works tagged as "Partial AI Use" will continue.
- - The suspension of sales of AI-generated works will be applied to the following formats:
Affected AI-generated work formats: Manga, CG Illustrations, Videos, Assets
Unaffected AI-generated work formats: Novels, Games
* Suspended formats have been determined on the basis of AI image generation comprising the main content of the work.
Works in other formats that are determined to contain AI image generation as the main content of the work will be similarly suspended.
We apologize to all impacted creators for any inconvenience caused as a result of this suspension of sales.
DLsite will continue to monitor community impact and outlook on AI-generated content
and adjust our policies and guidelines to reflect that.
