There are more and more means and methods for circles to request the creation of materials from creators, however, issues may result from a lack of understanding about the terms and scope of usage, etc.
After much discussion with both circles and creators, we wanted to share some key points about the general process of sharing information and what to confirm before making a production request of a creator.
If you are using a request template from a creator, we recommend following that before checking about other conditions.
■Work outline
Proposal, character documents, script length, number of illustrations
* If the script and scenario are complete, we recommended providing them for checking.
■Sale/publication outlets
Selling on DLsite, Print sale at doujin shops, etc.
■Scope of use
Outside usage (continuations, etc.)
Problems can result when the scope of use is left vague, eg. "Will be used for other matters".
■Performance requests
In the case they use multiple names, the name of the creator/performer you wish to employ
■Permission to use the creator's name Y/N
■The budget
■payment (prepayment / post-payment)
If no conditions are stated by the creator
■Estimated period for the upload of the script / scenario.
■Preferred deadline / preferred recording period
■Notes
For adult audio, whether it uses obscenities
*Additional considerations related to use in games
If game footage is likely to be used for promotion (including streaming/"let's plays"), we recommend confirming this when making your request.
